_UPDATE_INIT_DIALOGUE()


A script that begins a given dialogue sequence.


Returns: Void


Syntax:


_UPDATE_INIT_DIALOGUE(actl, actr, seqi, seqs)

Arguments:


Name Value Significance
actl <sprite array> The cutins of the characters that are to be displayed on the left side of the screen during dialogue (left to right).
actr <sprite array> The cutins of the characters that are to be displayed on the right side of the screen during dialogue (right to left).
seqi <string array> The control strings (see _DIALOGUE_CONTROLLER) to use for the dialogue sequence.
seqs <string array> The markup strings (see _DRAW_MARKUP_STRING()) to use for the dialogue sequence.

Actions: Set _DIALOGUE_CONTROLLER's corresponding local variables according to the arguments, set global._DIALOGUE_ACTIVE to true.
